Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt back on the radar with reality show

Just when we thought we free of the annoying media hungry couple, VH1 has seen it fit to shine the spotlight on Heidi Montag by signing her on for, horror of horrors, yet another dreary reality TV Show.

To celebrate her re-entry to the world of employment, the 24 year old revved her way back onto the gossip websites and magazines — in true Heidi and Spencer ‘style’ — behind the wheel of a spanking red Ferrari.

The publicity pair, who not so long ago were swimming in millions of dollar notes, were hit with a hard blow when they faced near bankruptcy last year after splashing their exorbitant fortune on jewels, flashy cars and the like. Then there was her failed pop album and of course the regret she suffered after her numerous plastic surgery procedures.

What are the chances there has been a bit of a maturation and coming-to-their-senses process going on in recent months, and what are we going to have thrown our way this time round?  As reported by Daily Mail, the former Hills star will be set with the task of opening a resturant in 28 days. “They are revamping a restaurant from the ground up,” a source told People magazine.

Are you slightly curious or will you be steering well clear of the TV when her — as yet unnamed — show comes on?

TV Sextuplets family splits up

WE TV’s reality show “Raising Sextuplets” parent Jennifer Masche has filed for legal separation from husband Bryan following reports of his arrest for domestic violence earlier this month.

Bryan was arrested on September 11 at his father-in-law’s home after a family dispute that started over where to take their six children for a trip. Jennifer’s father, in calls to 911, claimed the couple were near to splitting at that time.

Although Bryan Masche had not been physical, Jenny’s father said, “she doesn’t want him to leave because if he takes three and then he files, then she’s got three kids here and three kids there and then all of a sudden it becomes a bargaining tool.”

Yavapi County court records show that Jennifer is filing for sole custody of all six children but with a reasonable visiting schedule for the father.

The children were born in June 2007 and the fledgling couple understood the difficulties ahead. Bryan was quoted on thetvrealist.com as saying, “When you understand that there’s no way out of marriage, that forces you to work on your marriage. If we’re going to be stuck with each other for the next 80 years, we better make it good.”

The reality show itself has received mixed reviews and has not been as popular as originally hoped. Many reviewers and TV pundits cite a lack of interest in other people’s kids as the main reason for the show’s meagre following, while others have said that having dealt with your own kids all day the last thing you want to see is other people struggling with their family issues.

‘Bridalplasty’ brides compete for plastic surgery on shocker reality show

It would seem the all too often perverted world of reality TV has plunged to an all time low in the form of a new series called ‘Bridalplasty’, which will rather disturbingly cross a wedding competition with extreme plastic surgery.

The series, already being panned as ‘The Brides of Frankenstein’ by its many critics, will entail brides-to-be battling it out in wedding-themed challenges such as writing wedding vows and planning honeymoons.

As The Hollywood Reporter announced, the winner of a challenge will be allowed to choose a plastic surgery procedure from her “wishlist”. The operation will be carried out immediately and the results will be shown at the beginning of the next show.

The overall winner of the controversial show, which will be broadcast by E!, will receive an all expenses paid wedding and honeymoon, the Daily Mail reports.

Speaking of the groom, a spokesperson for E! said, “Viewers will witness his emotional and possibly shocked reaction as they stand at the altar and he lifts her veil to see her for the first time following her extreme plastic surgery”.

Where does one begin when listing all the things that are so very wrong with a series like this. For starters, multiple procedures are extreme and can place the patients’ lives at risk. One need only to think back to when reality star Heidi Montag underwent an overwhelming 10 cosmetic procedures in one day.

“I almost died after my procedure,” Heidi told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush. “I had too much Demerol like Michael Jackson did and my breathing was five breaths per minute which is like almost dead.

The show, which appears intent on seeing a young brides-to-be transformed into plastic barbies, will be hosted by former Playboy model Shanna Moakler.
