Michael Jackson vs Gary Glitter: sex offending and fame.

Two years after Michael Jackson’s death, a new show is about to hit the road about his life – one of the most influential pop stars of the last thirty years. A fitting heir to the throne left by Elvis Presley. Michael Jackson; The IMMORTAL World Tour begins its conquest of North America on 2nd October. A great way to commemorate the life and times of such an influential musician, songwriter, and [possible] sex offender.

[adsense]It’s strange, if not worrying, how Jackson’s appeal hardly dwindled despite the many claims of child abuse and pedophilia that were levelled at him some years ago. Yes, he was acquitted of the crimes but no one knows for sure whether large pay-offs were involved and everyone other than the diehard head-in-the-sand Jackson fans assume that he was a sex offender able to shrug of the accusations due to his celebrity status and back catalogue of likeable tunes and catchy melodies.

Whereas other celebrity pedophiles such as UK 70s rocker Gary Glitter who had a few hits back in the colorful era before being uncovered as a pedophile, was banished from several countries, imprisoned and continues to be stalked by a media known to be entirely unprincipled itself. He clearly wasn’t rich or influential enough to be a successful pedophile. Silly.

Gary Glitter - sex offender.

Gary Glitter - available for children's parties.

It seems that the richer and more successful you are – in the entertainment industries at least – the more you can get away with. Paris Hilton recently got fined 2000 bucks for being in possession of cocaine, an amount she probably spends on a facial.

It seems that in the eyes of the general public Gary Glitter is a thoroughly disgusting animal capable of stealing children – your children – in order to have sex with them up their bottoms, whereas Michael Jackson is [was] a troubled artist, who was unable to come to terms with fame and who hadn’t properly grown up himself.

So the more hit records you have, the more sex with kids you can have. That’s another good reason to keep practising the recorder instead of playing City of Heroes kids.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson was acquitted of doing things to kiddies.

No one wanted to believe that Michael Jackson was capable of such crimes. Fans reiterated their love for their idol, sticking their heads so firmly and deeply in the sand that they are still shitting goblets to this day.

So he might have been acquitted but even before he was – fans stood behind him like weak mothers defending their rapey progeny despite irrefutable evidence to confirm that they done a rape in the first place.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson sadly no longer available for children's parties.

In the sixties a blasé comment from John Lennon about The Beatles being more famous than Jesus was taken out of context, leading to the public burning of Beatles records in the southern states of America – a place where it is perfectly fine to fuck a goat so long as it’s female and you don’t use expletives or use the words ‘god’ and ‘penis’ in the same paragraph. I don’t know whether the Beatles were more famous than god, but they were certainly more popular. And sexier. In god’s defense he had a lot to do being omnipotent and all that. I tried being in two places at once, it’s not so easy. So being everywhere… well, I’m not sure I even believe it’s possible. Anyway the Beatles seemed to get by regardless and strangely, Michael Jackson managed to claw himself back up from being a pedophile to being an icon of popular culture once again, without much of a hoo haa. His estate is still raking in the money years after his death.

John Wayne Gacy

John Wayne Gacy should never have been available for children's parties. He didn't have any platinum selling albums.

An alleged pedophile exalted to the position of saint? God really does move in mysterious ways. In any other profession he’s have lost his job and had to move planet.

I’m not saying that Michael Jackson was guilty of doing dirty things with kiddies, (I’ve no trust of a media that has proven itself very capable of amplifying anything it wants in order to make it more newsworthy), but the point is that even if he was, he wouldn’t be exiled, would still sell tonnes of records and his fans would stick by him and overlook his peccadilloes, pathetic as human beings are cowering in the shadow of musical greatness.

It was not my intention to drag the man’s name through the sleazy dirt once more, but it seems unfair that celebrities can get away with anything that normal humans cannot and that A-listers can get away with even more than anyone. They are entertainers – nothing more and without their fans and people watching them, they are nothing.

If you would like to bombard the writer of this piece with accusations because Michael Jackson was acquitted and that no discretions could possibly take place when an adult male shares his bed with children that aren’t his own, then feel free to use the commenty box below. It eats expletives for breakfast. Yum! You could also share or like it using the social networking icons that appear elsewhere on this page. Thanks for reading.

Jermaine Jackson once again rides his brother's fame train to self promote.

In true self-promotion fashion Jermaine Jackson is talking up his brother’s narrow escape from death by terrorism after he was due to appear in New York on the day of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Coincidentally, Jermaine is also touring to promote his book, You Are Not Alone: Michael Through a Brother’s Eyes which covers Michael Jackson’s last days, even though Jermaine wasn’t there.

Clearly cashing in on not only his brother’s death but also the misery of 9/11, Jermaine Jackson, one of the least talented and more pointless of the Jackson throng has learned well from the school of shameless self-promotion.

Famous for being the brother of someone famous, Jermaine Jackson is cashing in.

Let’s be clear here, Michael Jackson was in New York on the day of those horrendous attacks to perform at Madison Square Garden, 1.5 miles from Ground Zero. He was not however at Madison Square Garden at the time of the attacks so what’s actually happening here is Jermaine, bless him, is sensationalising his story to sell his book – which is cashing in on his brother’s death. Wanker.

Such cold blooded nonsense should be ignored and if there were any justice in the world his book would be pulped, forests would be saved and he would disappear back into obscurity and stop pestering us with his desperation for fame and recognition. What he’s doing is tantamount to posting that he has a hangover on Facebook and then expecting the sympathy and/or attention to come rolling in. Wanker.

Jermaine Jackson is broke and desperate. Thank god his dead brother still sells well.

With that in mind, here are a few other examples of celebrities who nearly-but-didn’t-die.

CWD favourite Katie Price aka Jordan (famous for her tits) was on holiday in Argentina earlier this year when her speeding jeep hit and killed a horse. The newspaper reported that she had almost been killed but the universe isn’t that kind and she got away with minor shock and a bit more publicity. Like she needs it. She was saved by her airbags.

Katie Price was saved from uncertain death by her famous airbags.

Joss Stone was said to have been at the centre of a malicious kidnapping, extortion and murder plot. In true English style, two men from Liverpool drove a shopping car to her hometown in Devon and like archetypal Scooby Doo villains left clues to their nefarious scheme on display in the car. Scousers have never been credited with an over-abundance of brains and those two did nothing to change that point of view. Joss Stone is alive and well and still making crap records.

It's all smiles now but Joss Stone had shitty pants when scousers tried to abduct her with some string and a shopping trolley.

David Arquette, more famous for his rehab stints and failed marriage with Courteney Cox than his roles in Scream and whatever else he’s done was involved in a car crash in March this year. That’s it. His car hit another car, he got out eventually and was fine. But the media dressed it up a little differently.

David Arquette - Likeable but stupid.

Maybe the same people who watchdog advertising should also cover media and newspaper reporting so that the same pointless sensationalism that the likes of Heatworld and, to a lesser extent Jermaine Jackson, shit out on a daily basis is pulled from our collective consciousness and recognised as the cancer it truly is.

Feel free to pollute the rivers of our comment section by sharing your thoughts on shameless self-promotion.

Michael Jackson's kids say Murray could not have killed their dad

Michael Jackson’s children are refusing to believe that their dad died of a heart attack because the pop king used to constantly talk about what a fantastic doctor Murray was.

The household’s former nanny, Grace Rwaramba, spoke to L.A. Police Department investigators in the months after Michael died, according to TMZ, and said that Murray became a “regular” around the house when the singer lived in Vegas, coming by at least two times a week.

Rwaramba told investigators that Jackson was always talking about how amazing Murray was, so when he died, the kids refused to believe it could have had anything to do with the doctor. They just said: “There’s no way daddy could have died of a heart attack because Dr. Murray is the best doctor in the whole world.”

The nanny also said that Jackson first met Murray through a member of his security team and said the star felt he could trust him because the security guy claimed he had some sort of “mysterious leverage” over the doctor. She did not clarify what she meant by leverage.

She also spoke about an incident before Jackson’s death. Apparently the kids were forced to dial 911 when they discovered their dad “passed out” in their hotel room during a family holiday in Florida. It’s unclear when the incident took place.

It has been reported that the star was on the hunt for a good anaesthesiologist shortly before his death. TMZ states that Jackson, who had a well-documented addiction to Propofol for years before his death, tried recruiting Las Vegas anaesthesiologist Dr. David Adams to go on tour with him in 2009.

The doctor apparently told L.A. police that several months before Jackson’s death he had a meeting with Murray and the star himself who told him: “We think it would be great to have an anaesthesiologist go on the [This Is It] tour.”

This is not the first time Adams had come into contact with Jackson. He had reportedly put the star under with Propofol four times in two years for various prodecures.

[adsense]After a brief think, the doc texted Murray saying “I’d like to be on board.  Let’s talk about it.” But he never heard from either Murray or Jackson again.

Murray’s defense team spokesperson Miranda Sevcik responded to this claim by saying “Dr. Murray did not know David Adams.”  She did however say that the defense has subpoenaed the anaesthesiologist for the trial.

Murray has since been brought up on the charge of involuntary manslaughter to which he has pleaded not guilty.

According to recent court papers, since Michael Jackson’s death in 2009 his estate has amassed an incredible $310 million through sales of albums, a movie, merchandising and various other ventures.

Thanks to his catalogue the music industry feel the estate will continue to rake in the millions, just as other deceased stars like those of John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley do.

Michael Jackson estate earns $310 million since his death in 2009

According to court papers filed yesterday, since Michael Jackson’s death in 2009 his estate has amassed an incredible $310 million through sales of albums, a movie, merchandising and various other ventures.

Administrators have spent just over half of that ($159 million) to reduce the “Dangerous” singer’s debts which were estimated to have been around $400 million at the time of his death.

The documents state: “Although there remain unresolved creditor claims, pending litigation and additional challenging business, tax and legal issues, and the estate is not yet in a condition to be closed, the executors have made substantial progress in reducing the estate’s debt.”

The records have been made public as part of the Jackson estate’s probate proceedings and cover the financial dealings in great detail, covering the time between his death and December 31st, 2010.

His children, mother and a clutch of charities head the beneficiary list.

John McClain, Jackson’s music executive and his attorney John Branca were given charge of administration as requested in the “Bad” star’s will, written before his death from an overdose of prescription drugs, particularly propofol which was given to him by his personal doctor, Conrad Murray, to help him sleep.

Murray has since been brought up on the charge of involuntary manslaughter to which he has pleaded not guilty.

“Thriller” is Michael Jackson’s all time biggest seller and was arguably the pinnacle of his career, despite the success of subsequent albums which never captured the essence of his quality in quite the same way.

[adsense]Thanks to his catalogue the music industry feel his estate will continue to rake the millions in, just as other deceased stars like John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley do.

Other new money spinners include a new album of previously unreleased songs called, “Michael” and a film called “This Is It” which follows his progress on a number of comeback tour dates in London, behind the scenes footage and rehearsals.

There is also additional merchandising to accompany the new album and movie, both of which are being released by Epic, a subsidiary of Sony Corp.

Michael Jackson is reincarnated as a Brazilian cab driver

The king of pop is not dead!  Taxi driver Jean Walker, who plies his trade on the streets of Minas Gerias, has found the spirit of Michael Jackson singing though him as he drives his cab everyday.

Walker’s amazing revelation has stunned passengers and onlookers and he is quickly growing a sizeable fan base in Brazil and beyond. His uncanny renditions of Michael Jackson songs are not BAD at all, and patrons have often left the cab calling the ride a “THRILLER.”

Michael Jackson is alive and well and driving a taxi in Brazil

His many admirers have been thankful that although he sounds incredibly like the king of pop, there is no crutch grabbing while he drives; but they have mentioned that he spends too much time talking with the man in the mirror when really he should keep his eye on the road.

Wait – there’s worse puns yet.

There have been cases where passengers have asked to leave the cab, obviously not MJ fans, but Jean has told them, “hey, DON’T STOP TIL YOU GET ENOUGH.”

Once a young man couldn’t afford the taxi fare and after some discussion Walker told him to ‘BEAT IT.’

Can it get worse you’re wondering?  Yup.

[adsense]Walker has said that Michael Jackson’s spirit is “JUST ANOTHER PART OF ME,” and that it’s HUMAN NATURE to express himself the way he does. He does however set a limit of TWENTY FIVE MILES on all journeys so he can keep his customers keen for more.

Anyway, almost enough of the painful puns; if you ever find yourself in Minas Gerias and you need a ride just stick out a thumb for Jean Walker, it doesn’t matter if you’re BLACK OR WHITE he’ll pick you up and the ride will be a SCREAM.

See the video of Jean ‘Michael Jackson’ Walker here:

Katherine Jackson accuses lawyers of greed in latest Michael Jackson episode

Michael Jackson’s Lawyers are “Greedy” is the claim being made by Katherine Jackson this morning.

In the continuing saga of who is going to get their grubby and rapacious hands on Michael Jackson’s estate, the late singer’s mother has called the lawyers who are handling the situation “greedy”. Lawyers – greedy? Who knew?

Katherine Jackson takes a swipe at "greedy lawyers"

Katherine Jackson also claims that they are filing lawsuits left, right and centre, in the hope of making a quick buck.

Since his death in 2009, the singer has managed to court almost as much attention as when he was alive, with a glut of sick people and corporations cashing in on his demise. Recently unreleased material and touring stage shows apparently ‘celebrating’ his life might be considered almost as tasteless as the now withheld footage of his autopsy.

It seems there’s a dollar in just about anything these days.

Before he died in June 2009, Michael Jackson was on the verge of financial disaster, but since his death his estate’s fortune has increased exponentionally. Last year it reportedly signed a $250 million deal with Sony Music to include unreleased music, DVDs and video games.

It’s a strange world – this one of media and celebrity. In any other situation, paedophile accusations would have destroyed a career, if not a life, but if you can sing and dance, and grab your crotch, your alleged actions in life seem somehow more forgiveable. Let’s ignore the accusations. I’m not sure John Wayne Gacy will have a Nintendo game for the Wii named after him any time soon.

Fans outraged about Michael Jackson autopsy video

Fans of the King of Pop are up in arms about a gruesome documentray that the Discovery Channel is planning to air in January, titled Michael Jackson’s Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson.

The Michael Jackson community is rallying together to get the network’s bosses to reconsider showing the documentary, which will show a re-enactment of Michael’s autopsy based on court documents and witnesses, “using an anatomically correct synthetic cadaver”. They call it “an affront to human dignity,” and go on to say: “This type of sensational and unscrupulous reporting can only cause harm,” TMZ reports.

The petition reads: “We ask the directors of the Discovery Channel programming to proceed with the outright cancellation of this indecent documentary.”

So far almost 1,500 signatures have been collected by fans. If you think airing this documentary is a disrespectful move, you can also get involved by writing to the Discovery Channel.  Please click here.

Michael Jackson was addicted to plastic surgery

Michael Jackson’s mother has admitted on TV that her son was addicted to plastic surgery.

Katherine Jackson appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show along with her husband, Joe, and their three grandchildren. During the emotional interview, she talked about Michael’s low self-esteem, leading him to have repeated surgery.

“He’d say “I’m just so ugly, I don’t want to go out there”‘, she told the host. “I’d say ‘You’re not’. To a mother, all her children are always beautiful.”

“One day he just got up and decided “I’m going to get my nose done. It’s too big,”‘ the Daily Mail cited the celeb mom as saying.

“One day he just made up his mind and he just left. When I enquired about where he was, he had gone down to get his nose done…He thought I might try to talk him out of it I think. He was so unhappy. He thought he was so ugly.”

Michael always claimed only to have had two operations, both on his nose, which Katherine contested, stating that the star was probably just embarassed to admit he had had more procedures. She said she thought his nose was too small and, at one time, “was like a toothpick”.

“I hear that people get addicted to plastic surgery and I think that’s what happened to him,” she said.

“I had told him ‘That’s enough. Why do you keep going?’ I even talked to the plastic surgeon and said ‘If he comes there and he wants you to work on his nose just tell him you did it and do the same thing and don’t change it.'”

Katherine is the guardian of Michael’s three children, Prince, 13, Paris, 12 and Blanket, 8, who all appeared on the show beside her. The King’s only daughter shared fond memories of her father while the eldest expressed an interest in some day becoming a film producer. All three claimed that Jackson was “just a normal dad” (apart from the times when he was exceptional).

The star’s posthumous album, entitled “Michael”, is due to be released on December 14th and the single “Breaking News” will be available later this month. The star reportedly left enough material behind for three albums, but rumours are still rife that the voice on the new record is not Michael’s.

Jackson’s longtime producer, Teddy Riley, rubbished the claims in a statement to the Associated Press: “When I heard these songs, my heart cried hearing Michael again in good spirits. The vocals sounded very polished, very on key and processed. I have no doubts that these are Michael’s vocals,” the Washington Post reported.

Time does not heal wounds for the Jacksons

Michael Jackson is sorely missed by his family, especially mother Katherine, who told Oprah that the day her son died was the “worst day of my life“.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be healed,“ she told the host. “It will get better, but some days it’s like it just happened.“

Jackson’s mom as well as his children Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, 8, all appeared on Oprah’s show on Monday, People reported, and shared their memories of a much more down-to-earth King of Pop.

“I’d say he was the best cook ever,“ said Paris. “He made the best French toast in the world,“ and insisted that he was “just a normal dad.“

Michael’s only daughter, who enjoys improv and would like to be an actress some day, also talked about one her favourite memories with her father: “One time we went on the roof in Las Vegas at our house, eating Snickers and drinking soda.“

During the show, Prince expressed an interest in following in Jackson’s footsteps in the world of showbiz, saying he would like to “produce movies and direct.“

Katherine rubbished claims that her husband and co-guardian of Jackson’s kids, Joe, was forcing his grandchildren to be the next Jackson 5.

The matriarch told TMZ that the kids had “expressed their own desires to be in the entertainment business“ on Oprah’s show.

Mrs. Jackson also said she hoped fans “don’t think anyone like Joe or the family is pushing the kids“, perhaps a reference to Joe infamously pushing his kids to do Jackson 5. Or maybe also a hint that Joe has changed his ways of disciplining since bringing up Michael.

On the show, he admitted to laying a hand on the star when he was young: “I don’t [regret the beatings],“ The Daily Mail cites. “It kept them out of jail and kept them right.“

Katherine stepped in saying: “You might as well admit it, that’s the way black people raised their children. [Joe] used a strap. Yes, he did use a strap.“

Slightly defensive, Joe explained: “I don’t think he was afraid of me. What he was afraid of, he may do something wrong and I’d chastise him but not beat him. I never beat him like the media tried to say.“

Michael Jackson is king of deceased earners

Michael Jackson sits at the top of the pile in the highest earning deceased celebrity stakes, raking in more money over the past year than Elvis Presley and John Lennon.

The King of Pop, who died in June last year pulled in an incredible $275 million (£183 million) over the last 12 months thanks to a powerful back catalogue that contains such potent albums as Thriller, BAD and Dangerous as well as strong merchandizing deals.

His concert film This Is It, which documented preparations for his ill-fated London stage residency, also made $250 million (£167 million) at the box office.

His death on June 25, 2009 shocked fans and non-fans alike.  His life towards the end became somewhat controversial after allegations of child abuse led to extortionate court cases which seriously depleted his financial assets, even cleaning him out according to some reports.

Many tributes were paid to Jackson after his death, including some touching and heartfelt words from Paul McCartney who said, “I feel privileged to have hung out and worked with Michael. He was a massively talented boy-man with a gentle soul.

“His music will be remembered forever and my memories of our time together will be happy ones.  I send my deepest sympathy to his mother and the whole family, and to his countless fans all around the world.”

Jackson’s earnings eclipsed the total combined earnings of the 12 other dead stars on Forbes magazine’s list, including Elvis Presley, J.R.R. Tolkien (Lord Of The Rings author), Charles M Schulz (creator of Peanuts) and Beatles legend Lennon, who occupied the top five respectively.
