Moderate intake of beer good for health


A recently conducted health research has confirmed the benefits of drinking beer in moderation. According to, beer has been found to be having several natural nutrients including minerals, fiber and vitamins as also certain antioxidants.

In addition, the study claimed that beer contains comparatively lower calorific count as compared to many alcoholic beverages. The study has been conducted by group of researchers from The Beer Academy located in London. The researchers have also claimed in their study that if consumed sensibly, beer can prove out to be the ‘healthiest alcoholic beverage available.’

As reported by, the report has also exposed certain social and psychological benefits noticed in people who regularly consume little amount of beer at a pub or at home with friends. In addition, beer also contains traces of zinc which facilitates yeast vitality and controlled drinking boosts libido.

“Beer contains vitamins which can help you to maintain a well-balanced healthy diet, fibre to keep you regular, readily absorbed antioxidants and minerals such as silicon which may help to lower your risk of osteoporosis.” said the spokesperson from the The Beer Academy. He went on to say the experts conducted the research in order to dispel the myths surrounding the beverage which often overshadow the benefits one can obtain from moderate drinking.
