More than 2,500 walkers turned out Saturday for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s 13th annual 3k Walk to Cure Diabetes event at Kings Island.
JDRF is the world’s largest charitable contributor and advocate for diabetes research and is committed to helping those who struggle with Type 1 diabetes to look forward to longer, healthier lives.
The JDRF 4k Walk featured a course around the park offering views of many of Kings Island’s popular attractions.
Participants raising pledges earned a variety of prizes, including single-day tickets to Kinds Island.
Since 2001, the JDRF Walk at Kings Island has raised more than $9 million.
