Vince Vaughn’s comedic style is a well-known entity among movie lovers. The star, who got his big break in ‘Swingers’, has enjoyed starring in several big-shot movies like ‘Jurassic Park’, ‘Wedding Crashers’ and ‘The Break-Up’. The Hollywood celebrity quit smoking in 2005.
The comedic actor, who dated his on-screen love Jennifer Aniston (from ‘The Break-Up’), says he began smoking at a late age.
According to contactmusic.com, Vaughn said: “I never smoked until I was 24 and I didn’t want to look fake in the movie, so I decided to smoke to make it real.
“But I looked totally fake in the first movie I smoked in, I got addicted from doing that and that’s how I started – for the craft, isn’t that so beautiful?”
Vaughn also mentioned that he even though he spends less time with a cigarette in his mouth, he spends more time speaking about the successful elimination of his habit.
“I take every conversation and I steer it towards how I quit smoking.
“People will be like, ‘Vince do you want to go see a movie?’ I am like, ‘That’s terrific, because I have quit smoking and you can’t smoke in a movie theatre.’
“You just want to find a way to talk about that.
“I quit cold turkey because you have the best chance of staying off it for a long period.”
Vince Vaughn has gained weight in recent years since quitting smoking, but at least the star maintains a healthy, smoke-free existence is better.
