In January 2010, Jennifer Lyn Jackson was found dead by her husband, 55 year-old James Thompson, in their trailer park home in Ohio. Aged just 40, she had died of a suspected heroin overdose.
According to Stephen Santa, who was described by police as Jackson’s boyfriend, Thompson had given his wife the heroin, What’s on Xiamen reports.
Jackson was Playboy’s ’Playmate of the Month’ in April 1989. Pictures of her often appeared in the magazine, including several Special Edition spreads. But fame did not bring good fortune to this bunny.
In 2007, she was arrested in her home state Ohio for drunk driving. Police reportedly found beer bottles, marijuana and stolen tobacco products in her car. The Playmate had been arrested four times in five years previously, according to Associated Content.
She pleaded guilty and was given a 180 day suspended sentence, had her license revoked for 6 months and was placed on probation for 3 years. Previous charges of theft and posession of drugs and drug paraphernalia were revoked due to her plea, but in return, she was ordered to undergo drug and alcohol treatment.
Talking to Fox News, Jackson’s neighbour in the trailer park, Rodney Klubnik, said he was sad about the star’s death. He described her as a really nice girl, who sadly could not get rid of her drug problem.
“When she was off the drugs she was a really different person,” said Klubnik.
Other celebrities who recently met their untimely death include Stephen Gately, Casey Johnson, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy and Michael Jackson.
