One look at the most recent photo of Michael Douglas and it is clear to see that the star is on the road to recovery.
The 66 year old went to Disneyland in Florida yesterday with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and children Dylan, 10, and Caris, 7 and he looked on top form for the official press photo that can now be seen on websites and in newspapers throughout the world.
Dressed in a blue polo shirt and bermuda shorts, the glowing Wall Street actor looked healthier than he has in months as he posed with his upbeat-looking family and Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Grinning from ear-to-ear, this latest picture of the star is a world apart from the one that hit news stands earlier this month of the actor looking worryingly gaunt and frail, leading people to specualte that he wouldn’t be strong enough to recover from his punishing treatment for throat cancer.
On the weekend Kirk Douglas spoke some encouraging words about his son, saying that he is starting to feel feisty again and that he is also regaining his appetite and Dr. Kent Holtorf told Star Magazine: “The fact that he is gaining weight means that he is likely in the recovery stage.”
With these encouraging updates and the heart-warming Disneyland photo, fans can rest assured that the Oscar-winning actor is on the mend.
