She’s been fired before she was even hired — for Donald Trumps’ upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice, that is.
The real estate mogul-turned-reality TV rejected the opportunity to take Lindsay onboard his celebrity-studded program. Not to be spiteful but because he things the fresh-out-of-rehab star needs more time to get her personal life into gear before stepping into the limelight.
Donald told Life & Style Magazine: “(The Lohans) approached me, and we did talk about it. It’s just not the right time. Lindsay has to straighten herself out first… It could happen in the future, but right now we need to see Lindsay get straightened out.”
And Donald isn’t the only one who thinks Lindsay needs to take things slow. Friends of the 24 year old have expressed concern that plunging straight back into work after intensive treatment is only going to be detrimental to her health.
“She shouldn’t be working the first couple months. She needs to be attending daily meetings to stay on track for sobriety,” one friend told TMZ. Another added: “Lindsay needs to focus on herself for some time.”
After spending the last year in and out of rehab, it’s clear that Lindsay wants to rebuild her somewhat tarnished image and get back to work.
