Lady Gaga suffers from exhaustion

Since releasing her single ‘Just Dance’ last year, Lady Gaga’s career has gone from strength to strength. With hits like ‘Poker Face’ and ‘Paparazzi’ following, it seemed like she could do no wrong. Enjoying her pop career success, Lady Gaga has rushed from one appearance to another performance to the next awards show.

Her schedule, though blissfully full, seems to have gotten the better of her. She was forced to cancel a show, People.com reports, due to exhaustion.

The show, due to take place at a university in Indiana, isn’t the only one to be cancelled: her concert, scheduled to take place a few days later, will also be postponed.

“I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me. I will make-up the performance on Jan 26,” Lady Gaga  wrote on her Twitter page.

“I am so devastated. I have performed with the flu, a cold, strep throat: I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort… Paramedics came to take care of me, and told me my heart-rate was irregular – a result of exhaustion and dehydration. I’ve been crying for hours, I feel like I let my fans down 2nite. An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing.”

The 23-year-old pop star has recently won two People’s Choice Awards.

Other celebrities who have suffered exhaustion include Madonna, Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty.
