Eric Roberts is reportedly the latest addition to the cast of ‘Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew’, RadarOnline.com reports. According to the gossip website, Eric, who is Julia Roberts’ brother and father to young actress Emma Roberts, entered the facility only a few days ago.
While there is no word yet as to which addiction Eric is trying to curb, he has fought a public battle with his addiction to cocaine, that saw him arrested for possession of the drug and assaulting an officer in the late 1980s and involved in several domestic violence incidents in the early 1990s.
Fellow cast member Jeremy London, who entered the rehab facility in Pasadena after a bizarre alleged kidnapping case to fight his addictions, is excited to have Eric in the facility with him.
“Eric Roberts is my roommate and is simply amazing,” Jeremy told RadarOnline.com. “He’s an incredible person.”
Eric joins celebrities like Jeremy, Janice Dickinson, Leif Garrett and Rachel Uchitel in the 21-day treatment program with Dr. Drew Pinsky that will air in October.
Eric, who is 54, is famous for his roles in movies like ‘Runaway Train’ and ‘The Specialist’. He has also worked in television, appearing in three seasons of ‘Less Than Perfect’. He also has a regular role in TV’s ‘Heroes’.
