The decision to lose weight was a challenging but certainly rewarding one for Drew Carey. According to www.people.com, the comedian revealed that he was scared of falling prey to heart disease , just like his father did before he turned 60, and so he finally decided to trim down.
He says “I always thought I was going to die before I was 60.” After following a healthy diet and workout regimen, the 52 year old has lost 70 lbs since last November for which he also had to trade his hamburger for a lifestyle high on nutrition.
As reported by www.parade.com, something else that prompted him to opt for a ealthier liefestyle was his fiancée Nicole’s 5-year-old son, who he was struggling to play with for longer stretches of time. He says, “I’d be like, ‘Connor, I can’t,’ and he’d say, ‘C’mon, Dad!’ That was a terrible feeling. I thought, I’m never going to see him graduate high school.”
Having dropped several dress sizes, the star gushes, “I look in the mirror and I feel like I’m in my 20s again. I feel like I have my whole life back. I could live to be 100 now.”
Other celebrities who have recently knocked off the pounds after embarking on some serious health regimes include Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Osbourne and Kirstie Alley.
