Hollywood actress Brittany Murphy, who shot to fame for her roles in movies like ‘8 Mile’ and ‘Riding In Cars With Boys’ reportedly died after suffering a cardiac arrest in Los Angeles on Sunday. The 32-year-old actress, who married director Simon Monjack in 2007, was reportedly pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
TMZ.com reported the actress could not be revived after paramedics were called to her Los Angeles home. The website also reports Brittany’s mother called 911 after finding her unconscious in the shower at 8am. When paramedics arrived they reportedly found her in full cardiac arrest at her home, and despite administering CPR there and en route to the hospital, she was unresponsive and declared deceased upon arrival.
The Atlanta-born actress famously dated her ‘Just Married’ co-star Ashton Kutcher in 2002. Other movies she has starred in include ‘Girl, Interrupted’, ‘Uptown Girls’ and ‘Sin City’. She also lent her voice to Luanne Platter and other characters on the cartoon show ‘King of the Hill’.
