Curvy Katy, who has been promoting her perfume Purr Katy Perry in a series of revealing, show-stopping dresses, has no qualms about talking about the numbers that most girls prefer to keep private.
“I was shaped like a square at one time. I was! I’m generally around 130 pounds, which is totally fine for me,” the hourglass singer said in an interview with Elle Magazine. “But when I was a kid, I was the same height and weighed more like 145. “I had enormous boobs that I didn’t know what to do with, so I wore minimizers, which were not cute,” the 26-year-old I Kissed a Girl star said.
“Those thick-a** straps! I got made fun of for the over-the-shoulder boulder holder… and all I wanted was to look like Kate Moss. Little did I know… that these things would come in handy someday.”
So what does Katy Perry do to keep us in awe of her body? The pop sensation told ContactMusic that she hates working out, although she “loves jumping rope. There’s a rhythm. It’s like dancing. I can double jump; I can cross. I can do all of that. I look like Rocky when I jump rope.”
Jumping rope is an excellent cardiovascular workout and if you train vigorously you can burn up to 750 calories an hour. The great thing is that because all you need to work up a sweat is a jump rope and a willing body, you can take your workout wherever you go. It’s cheap and easy to carry on trips.
