Oscar-winning actor Sir Anthony Hopkins was recently seen flaunting his new, slimmer and healthier physique. According to www.dailymail.co.uk, a strict regimen and healthy diet did the trick.
The actor now refers himself as a “health nut” and attributes his weight loss to his Columbia spouse Stella Arroyave, who prompted him to get healthier. He said “My wife’s no dictator, but she said I must stick to a regimen.” He went on to say, “So I’m in the gym six days a week, I power walk, live on 1800 calories a day. No pasta. No seconds. A sandwich occasionally. Now I’m a health nut.'”
As reported by www.theepochtimes.com, the actor has lost five stones, about 75 pounds, after rigorous workouts and following a diet plan for two years. The 73-year-old star remarked that he feels that he is in the best shape ever. Not surprisingly, Hopkins has had to say good bye to his old clothes. “I can’t get back into my wardrobe. I gave it all away to some mission.” Blaming his earlier frame on his love for biscuits and bread, he said, ‘I was addicted to bread, cookies, whatnot. I love all the bad stuff.”
