Abuse claims: Britney Spears’ rep says tape is fake

According to an article published in Star Magazine, pop princess Britney Spears spoke candidly to her former husband Jason Alexander about her relationship with agent-turned-partner Jason Trawick, claiming that he is physically abusive.

Now representatives of the star are lashing back, saying that the tape recording alleged to be of Britney are “100 percent not her”.

“The audio recording posted on Radaronline this morning purporting to be between Britney Spears and Jason Alexander is so obviously fake as to be laughable.”

The rep continued by saying: “Every aspect of the story published by Star Magazine is completely and utterly false and Star Magazine was informed of the falsity of this story before it was published.

“The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr. Alexander in years.”

And Britney Spears’ camp denied the allegations of abuse.

“Suffice it to say, that Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney.”

The singer is now planning to sue the US magazine for publishing a story which she describes as “completely and utterly false”.
